Our Chiropractic Techniques

After you visit Dr. David Starr, you will come realize you have entrusted your care with someone who sees you more than just a five minute chart passing through an examining room. His care is personal; it is truly about his desire to help you.

Coming to chiropractor is as much about solving spinal problems as it as about keeping a healthy spine. Over time the spine can become misaligned, or as the medical community calls it, into sublaxation. From here problems can spread. The problems spread quickly or they may take years to develop. Muscles can constrict. The nervous system may be unable to send and receive the proper signals to almost any part of the entire body. Disks between the vertebrae may become compressed. The compromised spine creates an interference field between tissues, cells and organs and your body’s innate recuperative powers.

As any or all of these problems develop, we tend to compensate by standing or sitting slightly askew, tightening one or more muscles. What was a localized problem now can become a more globally acute problem, reaching all the way down to your feet or up through your neck.

Spinal manipulation and decompression techniques not are only designed to restore and maintain normal healthy skeletal structure but keep and maintain proper communication between your nervous system and the body’s organs.
The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

Think of an adjustment as “tuning” a piano, adjusting each string so it produces the perfect tone.
